I've had a supply of miniature canvases in the studio for some time. As with most creatives, my art stash holds more possibilities than I will ever possibly be able to use. For an artist there is comfort in knowing it is there. (Who else agrees?)
When I was painting this piece, peony season was long over and the next round of blooms far away however inspiration struck and I combined two of my favorite subjects. . .peonies and ginger jars.
